This Privacy Policy explains what personal data equal42 AB (“equal42”, “we”) collects, why, and what rights you have over it. It applies to equal42.com and the equal42 platform.

Who we are

What we collect

• Your email address, used to create and access your account.
• Your organisation's name, mission, and focus areas.
• Documents you upload (annual reports, past proposals, impact evaluations) so we can build your funding profile.
• AI-generated proposal drafts and your grant match history.
• Basic technical data — login timestamps and IP address.

Documents you upload may describe the people your organisation works with. Please avoid including personal details about beneficiaries, staff, or partners that aren't necessary for us to understand your work.

Why we process it

We process this data because it is necessary to provide the service you've asked for — creating your account, matching you with grants, and drafting proposals. Where you sign up for our waitlist or mailing list, we rely on your consent.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of sub-processors to run the platform, including an AI provider to power matching and drafting, and cloud hosting and storage providers. Full details, including where each provider is located, are on our sub-processors page. We do not sell your data.

International transfers

Some processing — specifically, AI-assisted matching and drafting — involves transferring data outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens, we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses with the receiving provider.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and organisation profile for as long as you have an active account. Uploaded source documents are kept only as long as needed to extract your profile from them. You can ask us to delete your data at any time — see “Your rights” below.

Automated matching

Grant matches and scores are generated automatically by our AI systems. These are suggestions, not decisions about your eligibility for funding, and every match includes a plain-language reason. If you'd like a human to look at a specific match, email us.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or move it elsewhere. You can also object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email dpo@equal42.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
